Filling the museum's ramp and new wing galleries, it brings together more than sixty artists with Miami connections, among them Janine Antoni, Jose Bedia, Teresita Fernandez, Naomi Fisher, Dara Friedman, Felix Gonzalez-Torres and Purvis Young, at a moment when the city was becoming a base for artists from around the world.
Gelfman showed nine paintings made between 1997 and 2001, most of them small panels in oil and acrylic: waiting (2000), 2 (2001), amy's yellow (1997), gate 1 (1998), tide pool, 2 (1999), muddy boots, 2 (1997), light blue (1999), under (1998) and green grass (1999).
